For context I am a teenage girl, I've been messed with and scammed by car mechanics before so I read all the reviews for this place before going in. I Went here to get my check engine light looked at, they charged me $100 for a smoke test with no results, then told me it was probably the spark plugs. They told me it would be $500 to get the plugs replaced, I thought that sounded too high so I left and we changed most of them on our own. I went to another shop to have them finish the job for cheaper and they told me that the spark plugs weren't the problem and that this shop was wrong in telling me that they needed replacing. They then diagnosed my car and fixed the problem (it was the airflow sensor). Had I not been skeptical of this place I would've given them half the money from my savings and they wouldn't have even fixed the engine light. I trusted these people to not take advantage of my lack of knowledge and was seriously disappointed. I would recommend J and M automotive if you don't want to be messed with.

This was a warranty service and everyone was extremely and very professional. Chance, Gary, Johnny and Stephen helped me through the entire process. I want to thank them all for an excellent, outstanding customer service.

Went in for an inspection and was told the back tires had excessive wear and would not pass, then said they could help with tires if interested. My tires are rated for 50,000 miles and only have 20,000 miles on them so I went to the store where I got them so they could check them. They took a look at them and measured the tread depth and said they were just fine and there shouldn't be any reason they wouldn't pass inspection. I went back to Barebones and told them what the tire place said and they looked it over and then went ahead and passed it. Their technician eyeballed the tires and still made the comment that one of the tires would barely pass inspection. I think I'll trust the tire shop that actually used a tool to gauge the tread depth and said there's no reason it should not pass. I really wanted to use a local business but I would rather drive further to use a business that I can trust.

My new go to for all things automotive.
