Been going here for my car repairs. Went recently for a leaking brake line in the rear which was caused by a faulty wheel cylinder. The wheel cylinder is located inside the brake drum which I also wanted replaced. Barebones wanted $218 in labor for the brake drum and another $386 for the wheel cylinder, even through they already would have done 95% of the labor during the brake drum disassembly. The cylinder is held on by 2 bolts easily accessed during brake drum replacement but they quoted $386. I declined paying double labor for this job.

I hit a pothole this week and my car started having problems. Normally my dad would deal with this but he was unable this time and told me take it to Barebones because it's where our friends go. I am a 16 year old girl in High School and has heard nothing but bad things about mechanic shops, so I was really nervous coming into one. The front desk guy named Chance was instantly friendly and helpful when I came in and told him what my problems were. He got my information and didn't make me feel bad about my mistake. They got my car inside and I saw them looking at it thru the window. Chance came in after a bit and told me what was wrong and when I didn't understand exactly (I know nothing about cars) he explained in detail so I could understand. He even took me out to see my car where the mechanic Kaylen put my car up in the air and showed me what was broken and how things worked. She was very cool and really explained things to me and when I called my dad to explain what was needed he was impressed with my knowledge about all of it, they made me feel like a professional! Chance gave me the price of the new tire that was on my car and then a better tire for cheaper instead of trying to make money off of me, he even showed me the prices online. They showed me other things that were that were broken but didn't need fixing just yet which I felt was cool. They ordered the parts and I came back in the next day and had my car fixed. I feel like I met people with honesty and integrity that were more interested with me getting my car fixed than making money. Thank you guys!
